Kaiser Craft Army Page

Hi Everyone!

Not sure where you live, but here in the Edmonton, Alberta region we've been having a NASTY, cold spell this week! -40C with wind chills all week. So it's been a wee bit chilly here to say the least! The shop has been pretty quite as a result of everyone hibernating! LOL! I SO get it..I actually snuck away early yesterday to hibernate in front of my fire at home cause the store is so cold! Shhh don't tell on me ok!

Anyways...here is a layout I did the other day; I found a sketch on pinterest to help my cold, slow brain get it's Mojo flowing and this is what I came up with. (I always try to upload large picture files, so if you click the layout, it should expand so you can see the details). I had a lot of fun with this page which I used Kaiser "On the Move" pattern paper, I got to add some nice messy details with Adirondack Paint Dauber in Juniper, Glimmer Glaze in the new Nori color which I LOVE! My favorite technique this week is SPLATTERING Glimmer Glaze on EVERYTHING! And of course Distress Inks, Vintage Photo. A layout just seems naked to me with out some form of ink on it! I also used Adirondack Color Wash Sprays which are AMAZING! The color is so deep and vibrant! I used them to color up Tim Holtz Grunge board crowns, which I then covered with Goosebumps spray to add texture; I turned them on their sides though to make them like bomb explosions. Did you notice the medal I made with Teresa Collins Metal Stars, I love it! I used a Tim Holtz jump ring to run some ribbon through it to make my army medal.

Hope you like it! Pop down to the shop and see it in person..always looks better!

I've got lots of fabulous NEW lines in right now as well, plus great SALES going on to make room for all the new releases coming out!!

Mommy and Me Saturday January 28

Hi ya'

I'd love to have you and your kids register in my Mommy and Me class, Saturday Jan 28, 11-12pm. You don't have to be a Mommy, any adult supervision is great! Daddy's, Grandma's, Auntie's your all welcome to come! In this months class the kids will be making this cute canvas with a wee mini album attached! It can be hung up, or stand on it's own. The children will be painting this blank white canvas with RED so please dress them appropriately! If possible please bring a wallet size photo or 2: I used one. And also I you have a 1/2" flat paint brush that will help speed things along, (if you don't, you can wait to use one of the class ones, I'll have a few to circulate).

Each child will be going home with Echo Park's 12x12 sticker Sheet from the Yours Truly Collection as well. We will use a few stickers on the canvas, and the rest is theirs to take home.

Price is $20 first child, $17 for additional siblings

Hi All

So the answer to my title is FUN! This technique is AMAZING! I squealed like a piglet when my little jalopy popped open! The picture with the white jalopy is the actual size of the die...the bottom is my little shrunk one! How cute, eh! Then I just inked them up with Pitch Black and Purple Eggplant Adirondack Alcohol Inks, and Blending Solution. I'll post my finished project picture soon, (it's a gift)..it's amazing, well I think it is! Hope she likes it!

As I'm positive my Dad never checks my web site, I feel confident that I can post his Christmas present without him seeing it! I've made sure to stock a lot of these gorgeous frame (and others) so you can make fabulous handmade gifts this year too! They really are the meaning of Christmas, taking the time to make something especially for your loved ones...doesn't get much more thoughtful then that!

On Dec 8, I'll need you to send YOUR Husband(or any family member shopping for YOU) to the shop, I will have Pizza and pops set up in the back for them. All they have to do is tell me WHO they are shopping for...well buying for, cause I will do the shopping FOR THEM! I used Tim Holtz Papillon set, Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Crackle Accents. I finished it off by using Sakura Gelly Roll (best $1.99 ever spent) to highlight around my tags and to write the name of each boy.

7 Gypsies Solo Shadowbox Tray

Hi Everyone

This is a 6x6 7Gypsies Solo Shadowbox tray that I decorated today, and I must say, I'm tickled pink by it! It literally took under 30 to put together! I used Prima Printer Tiles and 24 Chipboard pack for the majority of the embellishments. That chipboard pack is such a great deal! $6, they're stick back, and the sizes vary! I've rocked out some great projects with this pack and still have a bunch left! I used Tim Holtz Tissue tap on the edges of the frame, and then distressed it a bit with Distress Tea Dye and Vintage Photo. I also Black Soot Distress Inked the embellishments to "tone" them down to match the black frame. The paper is Prima as well. I used TH Crackle Rock Candy paint in the little squares, and Glossy Accents and Crackle Accents on the embellishments. Lastly I finished off a metal Pebbles Flower with Adirondack Alcohol Ink.

FILLING QUICKLY, DON'T MISS OUT

Starting Wednesday October 19 at 12:00-1ish (depends on how chatter you are :) ), and running EVERY 3rd Wednesday of the month will be the Scrapbooker's Club! This is for all you SAHM whose kid's are in school, for you lucky retired ladies, or for you ladies who just have a spare afternoon that you want to spend scrapping! This is going to be a fun, relaxing coffee group that will get you out of the house for a bit and a chance to visit.
You will need to bring your basic tool kit (scissors, all adhesives, ect) to all classes and you will make a 12x12 Page. Everyone's page will be slightly different as I will be putting out the bags of accessories and you will get to choice which is best for you.

How it will work is, you will need to commit to 6 months of Clubs at $5/month paid for in advance, so a $30 ONE off fee, and this will cover ALL 6 Layouts!!! Normally a class is a minimum of $20 so this is a very good deal! Each month after you make your gorgeous page, you will then shop! You will have to spend a minimum of $30 each Club date on anything you want in the store. On your 6th Month (so March if you start in Oct) you will receive 25% off your purchase that month as a THANK YOU for joining the Club!
You may jump in and join again, have a friend jump in and join when ever, but you must join for 6 months in a row to receive this fabulous deal. If you CAN NOT attend one month, no problem, just come pick up your kit up to go and make your purchase. This is NOT available as a TO GO class all the time; this is an Attendance Club.

HI Everyone

Today my niece turns 16, so I thought I better make her a "Sa-weet" card. This is what I came up with, I love it..hope she does too! I phone her today and left her a voice message of me singing HB..so that is going to be tough to beat! LOL!

The background chevron is Amy Tangerine Sticky back Fabric; the rest is made from Echo Park's Happy Days Sticker Sheet and matching paper. I stock the bottle caps in the shop; and the crown was from my stash of goodies that I've collected over the years. I took a close up of the tag, I used Glossy Accents ( CAN not craft with out this stuff) to make her poofy.

I wanted to say HELLO and THANK YOU to all the new and fabulous women I had the pleasure of meeting this week end; and to all my current fabulous women who support me at my shop already for coming out and supporting me at the Carnival!!! I appreciate it more then you will ever know. I hope you all enjoyed the demonstrations on Distress and Alcohol Inks I was doing in the booth..my thumb is still numb from ripping off all the Velcro pads! :)

Retro Rock Out!

Hi All

For those of you who know me, you know I was born in the wrong era, I would have love to have grown up in the 50's! I'd rock a swing dress, the poodle skirt and the whole nine yards every day! This is my throw back to the Retro's; I love all the new Retro lines out right now. On this Layout I have Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue, Echo Park Happy Days and the polka dot paper is Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe. I had a lot of fun with this layout! And the Cherries are literally the 'cherry on the cake" for me on this page! These are Kaiser Craft wood Cherries;

first I inked them up with Distress ink,
next I put a layer of Glossy Accents
Then I dumped Fire Red Glitter Ritz on top and just left them until dry (don't cheat, let them dry!)
Once dry, dump off excess glitter, and put another top coat of Glossy Accents. Seriously they are so poofy fantastic on this page! It reminds me of the Sparkle Red Vinyl from the 50's on the chairs in diner's and in cars; you know what I mean? LOVE IT!

HI Everyone

I had a lot of fun making this Layout! I was scrappin' with some fabulous gal's from Scrapbookers Cottage out in Spruce Grove, and the mojo was flowing think between the 3 of us. Now the main technique on this page is the paper piecing. I used the G45 ABC Primer Collection, 2 sheets of each and just chopped my image up, colored it with Distess Inks and Ranger Cut n' Dry Nibs. I LOVE it! The layers and texture it gives to the layout is AMAZING! IT literally POPS off the page. Everything is either TH Rock Crackled, Glossy Accented or Crackle Accented! The page is so tactile in person, it looks fabulous! Lots of Distress Ink, Bo Bunny Embellishment, AC Twine, Tim Holtz Mini Fastener (aka tiny stapler), TH"Stuff to Say" Stamp set and a bit of UTEE to add the extra shine!

Been a crazy busy week at the shop! Lots of new and gorgeous products on the shelves; Echo Park, FabScrapbs, Websters Pages, K&Co, Prima. Thanks to everyone for coming out, I've meet a lot of great people and a HUGE THANKS to those who took advantage of my NEW FRIENDS to me 20% off Special!

Inkadinkado Stamps

Hi Everyone

This was the card I made for my British Husband this year...could the stamp set be any more appropriate? Love this little set and best of all..it's only $2.50! It's a tiny little set that is just PERFECT for cards! The only goof up I did on the card is I did the small Union Jack in Perfect Pearls and then ran it through the Big Shot with Tim Holtz Texture Fades (embossing folders) and the Pearls came off! So note to self..Pearls LAST!

Hi Everyone

Here is the other layout I made at the crop on Friday. My layouts are not very layered, but I try to add a lot of details in other ways. This layout was SO fun to make (and so me!) ! I started with a couple new papers I added to the shop, the bottom is by Autentique and the top layer, the bottle is bottle is by Moxie. Love this sheet! I started with using a skull as a stencil (actually was the backing of a skull mirror sticker) and the Tim Holtz Blending Tool with Black Soot Distress Ink to ink up the page. Next I layered on the bottle paper, added Tim Holtz Tissue Tape on the top; then I highlights the bottles, and spider webs with a White Jelly Pen. I also cut out another bottle, coloured in the eyes and Glossy Accented them and the spiders, and witches. Actually I used Black Stickles on the Spiders first, then Glossy Accents on top..it looks totally cool! But my favorite embellishment on the page is that AMAZING Raven! I used my Ranger Melting Pot with Clear UTEE and a wee bit of Copper UTTE, I heated it up for awhile so the clear "antiqued". I dumped it all onto my Ranger Craft Sheet (#1 seller in my shop, ask me to show you it next time your in) 350 Degree UTEE dumped onto it and NO damage to it or my wood counter! Anyhoo...dumped it and inked up my La Blanche Raven with Archival Ink and stamped ontop of the hot UTEE. Crazy cool eh! Ask for a demo next time your in the shop. The Melting Pot is one of my favorite tools, SO FUN! I have a few in stock still, if your interested pop in and I'll show you how to make this cool embellishment.

HI Everyone!

Sorry I've been neglecting my site, August has been extremely busy at The Inked Stamper (YAHOO!, I love my store). I had a crop here on Friday night, and actually managed to make a couple layouts (thanks to Brianne and Kari who stayed till 1am so I could crack some out). The one I'm posting today is made with the NEW Bo Bunny Line, Et Cetera. And I must say I LOVE this line! The paper I used is from it, and also the key on my tag and the giant popped up ETC. Now the paper is AWESOME on it's own, but it just wouldn't be "ME" if I didn't stamp on it....so that is exactly what I did. I used the Tim Holtz stamp set Rock Star, which is AMAZING! OHHH do I love this set! I'm such a nerd, but I totally did the seal clap and squealed when I was making this page playing with these stamps! I took a close up so you can see all the handmade embellishments I did on this page. First off is the tag: if you've ever been in my shop, you know I LOVE making embellishments with these Ranger Tags; this one is a blank manilla color, and they take a beating with ink and water and still look crisp and flat! I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks Tea Dye, Vintage Photo with the Distress Tool, and Barn door, and Archival Jet Black to stamp. I gave the key a patina with Alcohol Inks Aqua and Snow Cap. The first flower is just a rolly polly rose (cut a circle into a spiral and roll it up) and I inked it with Glimmer Mist. The next flower on the right is made with Tim Holtz Tissue tape, which I just attached to a circle card stock base and just keep feeding it on top of it by spinning until I got to the center; then I pressed it in Ranger Perfect Medium Ink Pad and dusted on some Perfect Pearls.

Then with the same stamp set, I stamped around the edges of the paper with Barn Door and Black Soot Distress inks. Lastly the rectangle was a piece of chip board I dipped in the Melting Pot with Copper UTEE then while the embossing enamel was still hot I stamp with Archival ink a Tim Holz stamp from the Stuff to Say set. Lastly, I finished it all off with a little twirl of Tim Holtz Film strip Ribbon.

FYI this cute little card was made at the Kids Camp I had early in the week: American Crafts pattern paper is nice an thick and works FAB for a card base; the card stock is also AC, I used an Accut Die for the party hat, Martha Stewart all over Butterfly punch (you can punch ANY WHERE on a page, even the middle of a 12x12!) and a My Minds Eye Tag was used to finish it off.

Hi Everyone

For those who braved the rain last night; this was the free make n' take they went home with. It's ATC sized, but perfect to used as a scrabook embellishment, or to be put on a card front! For those who could not make it, but still want one, I've incorporated it as an embellishment on an AMAZING double layout class! I'll post detail about the class next week.

HI Everyone

Here is another layout from our camping trip a few weeks ago. I love this layout; it has a lot of dimension to it, but I really love it because Ethan "found" his smile for the pictures! This is mainly all made with American CraftsCampy Trails Collection. As you know I LOVE this line. I still have most of it in stock as well, so come down to the Inked Stamper to pick some up.

I wanted to point out my recycling on my page: do you see the corrugated chip board on my page?? Do you know what this is?? It's a coffee sleeve opened up and turned around! Cute eh? To make my green card stock; I just used the sleeve as a template and traced and cut it out; then I ink distressed it with my Tim Holtz Blending tool (LOVE) and then I use the Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber to make the polka dot pattern. Again the texture this adds looks fabulous! If you haven't tried this paint yet...YOU MUST! I LOVE IT! I distress with it, decorate mini albums; pages, and even STAMP with it! This STUFF ROCKS! It's only $4.25/bottle and it will last ya for ages! Come down and see my samples with it and ask for a demo on how to use these awesome colorful bottles of goodness!

HI Everyone

I'm in love with this layout for 3 reasons.

1. I think it turned out great (if I don't say so myself)

2. This was an amazing day of Scrapping with my friend Kari: FABULOUS day, BBQ with the hub's, kids playing army for 8 hours and we both rocked out some kicking LO's!

3. Is most important: the story behind the layout. Ethan (in orange) sometimes "forgets" how to smile and just freezes up in front of a camera; I asked him to smile and he said " I can't, I forgot how"; Tristan whipped his arms around his bro and said " You smile just like this...see like me"! It just melted my heart!

I've used some fabulous companies on this layout: American crafts is the paper; Tim Holtz distress Ink and Blending tool (My MUST have tool), October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket and Pink Paislee embellishments.

Thought I'd do a quick Saturday post of a LO from my crop last night...I actually finished it today cause the crop was full and I was busy! No complaints, I was SO happy to be hosting a full house!

I've got a lot of brands on this layout: American Crafts, Bazzil, Basic Grey, Crate Paper and Pink Paislee. The quote totally makes me laugh!!! In case you can't see it, it says "A true friends is one who thinks you are a good egg even when your half cracked!"

Thought I'd post these cute tags I made as demo's yesterday for some customers who popped by the shop. The card I made last week, and forgot to post, opps! It's hard to take a picture of the card that shows the details; the Butterflies are actually stamped with Perfect Pearls Medium them covered with 2 shades of Pearls; it's so pretty and shimmery in real life. I hand made that gorgeous flower with Glitz pattern paper, We R Memory Keeper So Easy Foam mat, Imaginisce Petal roller. Took a while to make but it's SO pretty it's worth the time. I coated it with some Glimmer Mist and paints after it was made to give it an enameled look. Again, prettier IRL.
I used Tim Holtz gorgeous stamp set Papillon, Distress Inks, Mini Mister and Ink Blending tool to make the gorgeous tags which are Ranger. All are available in the shop, pop by and ask for a demo!

Birds of a Feather

Hi Everyone

This layout was inspired by one I saw over at American Crafts blog yesterday. As soon as I saw it, I just had to sit down and make one! Again..sorry about the photo quality; I can not find a good place to take a picture in my shop and it's been rainy here that I can' t go outside either. The paper is actually a nice olive color..not the lime it looks in the photo.

The little lanterns are from the AC stamp set Terrace. I stamped with Ranger Archival Black ink, and colored with Copic Markers and cut them out. The rest if the embellishments are pre-made AC ones, they are FANTASTIC and really make the page. I used MME Twine to make the wire for the bird to sit on, and of course the title is different fonts of Thickers and the little letter squares are from the Crate paper Toy Box 12x12 sticker sheet $3.75. I'm in love with sticker sheets at the moment! Stickers are no longer the" tacky" embellishments you used 10 years ago when you started scraping! They are now fab and trendy chip stickers! They are thick, and great quality, and the letter ones make it so easy to do long titles.

Today is the last day to receive 20% American Crafts pattered paper and embellishment in The Inked Stamper, so pop by and take advantage of the sale and stock up on AC!

These 2 beauties are my wonderful friend Alana's daughters, whom I love dearly! Alana and her family came to the shop opening (bless her heart as she is not a scrapper!); each of her kids got to pick out items to take home to make crafts with, and of course the girls picked out pretty bling! These are Prima Butterflies, and she just attached them to headbands they already owned as my Prima Head bands are on back order! October Afternoon Father's Day Card

HI Everyone

I finally got to play with products from my shop! Yahooo!! Last night was the first Crop night at the store and 6 awesome women came out for dinner and cropping! Some great layouts we made by all!! My first project I made was a Father's Day card for my Hubs with the Rocket Age collection from October Afternoon. I LOVE this line! Unfortunately I did not pre-shop in my own store and my accessories were bought up with in the first hour! Lucky for me, my friend Kari bought one of the packages I didn't so she let me pinch the cute vintage "moon shoes" tag. The "to the moon" is a RUBBER charm! I LOVE these! The robot is a chipboard sticker from the 12x12 sheet. LOVE this collection! I've got a re-order in for it, so if you missed it too, panic not! It should be back on the shelves next week!

FYI: I've got some great LO's to post! YES, projects! WAhooo! I had a fab night surrounding by inspiring women! 2 double layouts and 1 single! Plus the card, that is a totally record for me at a crop, plus I was still working!

The Store opening on Saturday was a great success! Thank you to everyone who helped out; Viv, Sandra and Brianne, I would have been lost with out you! My Sign!!!

Hi Everyone

Wahoo, my sign is up! Every step is making this feel more real, and this one made me jump up and down! This is REALY happening, I own a SCRAPBOOK STORE! My sign is made from custom cut vinyl from one of my suppliers for the shop! Then my hub's and I just applied it to my board last night. He is a Canadian Designer as well! And I'm very proud to be carrying his line in the shop. I will have a selection of his awesome vinyl right at the store and also be able to take custom orders. He specializes in funky, retro vinyl with a tattoo theme, but he carries a great line for you non-tattoo folks too! The quality of the vinyl is amazing, and the colors are very vibrant! Progress Report and NEW Opening date!!!

Hi Everyone

Sorry I know a lot of you do not have facebook, and I've been updating my The Inked Stamper Store page on FB everyday as it is quick and easy...I even do it from my iphone half the time cause I am just so darn busy! So first thing first: DATE CHANGE for the opening!!! The new opening date will be June 11. I've had too many things just go wrong that it had to be moved back one week. So mark your calendars all; JUNE 11!! Bring along your Mom, Sisters, Friends and come and shop! Free gift with purchase for the first 40 customers! Plus door prizes as well. More to come next week.

I'm stuck home today getting the AC repaired, so while I have a minute, I thought I better update my poor lonely blog!

OK Progress Report:

Reno's almost done
Racking FINALLY came in correctly Monday afternoon, so I'm able to put up stock
Orders are coming in daily and being stocked
I'm learning my new program to run my till....on going! Next week I'll be entering all stock.

18 Days to go!!!! The Inked Stamper will be opening in 18 days! AH!!!

I'm still busy busy busy! Yesterday I ordered my business cards and some other supplies include the picture above which will be my car magnet. Plus we moved some of the racking into the shop; that was fun! Today I have a POS meeting (Point of Sales, but can you guess what I call it..P.O.S..come on people, BAD acronym ) and then I'm ordering my computer to use said pos system on. Let me tell you this has been my most stressful purchase for the whole shop! So outa' my league! Computers, BLAH!

Hope you all are having a beautiful spring day; once my supplies start rolling in, I'll start posting sneak peeks. Oh FYI if you don't check on my store FB page; my hub's finished my beautiful glittery floors! 5 lbs of Glitter, let me tell you, he is still shimmery! LOL! Great look on a man!

SO what have I been up to while I'm not blogging this week?

Phone/internet was installed: 780 458 2422 will be the shops number
We painted and installed the slot wall
My hubs did the first few steps of the floors... do you know what 5lbs of Glitter looks like? Ask my hubs! LOL!
I've put in so many big order this week; I have not moved from my chair in my kitchen in 4 days, except to go to the shop and to teach a scrap class to my boys grade 1 class ( cause I wasn't busy enough LOL!) I'm SO excited, I just order a whole bunch of La Blanche Stamps! Gorgeous new stamp company, they are silicone! Another order that made me squeal , 100 THICKERS!
My racking is here and being held at the delivery center as my floors are being done we can't step on them! LOL!

Now go an like my FB page!

I'm hoping to find time to start making some projects soon! I wanna PLAY!!!!

Hi ya!
Got the keys to the shop yesterday. To say I'm swamped with deadlines is an understatement! I'm posting from my iPhone about to head into a meeting with my landlords. Sad thing is I actually have projects to post but no time!! Don't count me out! I'll be posting again soon! Just need to finish some deadlines this week. Wish me luck! I need it

TradeShow Table Saturday

Tomorrow 10am-3pm at Father Jan School, 15 Mission Ave in St Albert, I will have a table at the Trade Show there. Come take a sneak peek of my items before my shop opens June 4. $2 entry fee includes a raffle ticket; bring the kids down for lunch, there will be hotdog and pops to purchase.

I'll have a lot of Thickers, Cosmo Cricket's new lines Social Club and Up Cycle; Creative Imaginations Super Hero collection, American Crafts Campy Trails, and Theresa Collins On the Edge plus some Imaginisce Itop tool, Irock tool and accessories!!

Hi Everyone

Yesturday was an awesome today! A package was waiting for me when I got home, and this is what was inside! Look at all this beautiful gorgeous products from American Crafts!!! This was a welcome gift they sent me for the new store! How sweet is that! I wish I knew how to display this better for a better picture! But trust me, it's all gorgeous! As I'm sure you can tell by all my exclamation points!!!! ;)

It's the twins Superhero Party today, so gotta run, I'll (try) to post some party pics tomorrow, including my cake-pops! Lets just say now, those little suckers are not as easy to make as I thought!

Kimono Kids

Hi Everyone

I cased this card today off an Sandi Maciver, you can see hers HERE. It's made with the Kimono Kids stamps set in the main SU! catalogue , and it's one of my favorites! How cute are they??? I can't wait to get my Copic Markers to color them in. Coloring is not my strong suit, but from what I've been watching and reading, Copic are supposed to make coloring easier...and more forgiving then water based markers.

Today I'm making Superhero Cake Pops for the twins Superhero Academy Party tomorrow! Hope I have as much success as I did with their cake! But this is going to get MESSY! I decided to make them while the boys are at school, think that I'll make a big enough mess on my own! Wish me luck!!!!

Rock n' Roll

This is of my niece rockin' out at her Auntie Kim's house a few summers ago playing Rock Band. She is totally channelling her inner Rock Star! The journaling/title is from the Kiss lyrics God gave Rock n' Roll to you, which I so forgot was from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure! Apparently that movie is really stuck in my head! (I did a layout about a month ago with B & T )

Except for the two Imaginisce pink flowers, I made all the other ones. I particularly like the hot pink foil ones. The pictures do them no justice! They are made from of sheet of thick, super shiny foil, I punch them out with two different size scallop punches (FYI this is GREAT to sharpen your punches), I flipped them over and scored with a ruler and bone folder tip from every valley in the scallop to the center; then with one I used the 1/16th hand held punch to punch out the holes, and the other I used the eyelet setter on the Crop a dile to dry emboss the circles.

I worked with new IRock Tool from Imaginisce on this one as well, BUT I'm thinking trying out a new tool at midnight..not so wise. I can see the potential in this tool, but round 1, did not go down too well! LOL!

Still having fun catching up on back dated picture. My boys we're belly giggling so much at this layout...they really like my skull placement! LOL! My YIPEEEEE title was actually cut out from the back of a Prima pack and colored with Copic Markers.

I can bake!

Hi Everyone

The boys birthday went really well yesterday. They are still having their Superhero party, but that is not till next week and their actual birthday was yesterday so we just had the family over. It took me all day to bake their cake...its was a giant cupcake, and that sucker took a long time to bake! I used the recipe it came with; a chocolate pound cake, not the yummiest cake I've eaten, but luckily the icing saved the day. So next time I make this, I'll use a my grandma's tried and true chocolate cake recipe. But anyhoo...this icing ROCKED!!!! It's basically meringue.... YUMMY! I made a double batch as I wasn't sure how much I would need, and we had a lot left over. So as you can see we had a lot of fun with the extra, and then I baked them into yummy meringue cookies...FYI...grease the pan! I didn't so getting them off deflated them! LOL! They went from Fluffy Stay Puff heads to little deflated dog poo's! LOL! But boy did they taste amazing! You can find the recipe HERE.

HI Everyone

Today my twins are 7! Can't believe it!!!! I gave them their Ed Hardy shirts today to open after breakfast...they couldn't believe they didn't have to wait till after school! Too cute. Tristan said he "totally feels 7" and Ethan said " I don't feel any different" LOL!

So today, I'm taking a break from picking out shelving, doing my business planner and all the other "fun...NOT" stuff I've been doing later for the shop to be a good Momma and make the boys an Oreo cookie GIANT cupcake cake for them. Hope it turns out alright. I'll blog it tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me, it's not made out of paper so I'm out of my element!

Hi Everyone

Today's LO was one of my club LO's from February. It's of my hub's and I on our 15th anniversary; we flew to Vancouver for a wonderful weekend! I forgot our camera at home, so all our pictures were taken on the Iphone! LOL...classic ME move!

This is a great LO for me to post today as without my hub's help these last few months, my Big Project would have never happened!!! So THANKS Hunny!
