Sweet Pea Frame

Hi Everyone
This is VERY ODD, I had a write up with this and now it is just gone! WIERD! Any hoo....in a short re-cap, I'm out of routine as the hubs was sick and home all week, which blew my schedule...hence the lack of posts! So as he is back at work today, I have time to post.
Here is a cutie frame I made last week with a frame I found at HomeSence.  I've been thinking about a frame like this for awhile now; I actually found one to buy for $25 but I was just too cheap that day, so when I found this on for $8, I was all over it! The design I had in my head, well it's still there! LOL!  This one I made, I made with 90% inspiration from this months Stampin Success; which is a magazine SU! demo's get every month for FREE!  SUPER EASY!  All I used was SU!'s AWESOME Sweet Pea DSP and matching Sweet Pea Stitched Felts! That's it! If you click on the picture to make it larger, you will see I placed felt flowers over top of the pattered papers flowers.  How cute and simple is this! By the time my pictures were done being printed off my printer, I already finished the frame! Literally a 5 min project! SWEET!
Don't miss out on ordering this FAB pack of paper ($32.95/48sheets, which works out to 68cents/sheet!!!!!!) and the matching felts for only $11.95/52 pieces! They are both only available until April 30. If you order them in March, you'll only be $20 away from a FREE SAB item! So I suggest you order the Sweet Pea DSP                          $32.95
Sweet Pea Stiched Felts              $11.95
Sending Love Epoxy brads(pink) $6.95
Scallop Trim Corner Punch          $13.95
Total                                           $65.60
FREE SALE A BRATION ITEM!!! My suggestion is the NEW Scallop Edge punch, value $22.95!
Thanks for stopping by...check back tomorrow for a cute Easter Basket made with the Scallop Square die.

NEVER BUY FROM BEACHCOMBER HOME FURNISHING

OK! This has nothing to do about scrappin' and a lot to do with RANTING! I'm livid at the moment.  I bought this table 3 weeks ago from Beachcomber home furnishing here in Edmonton, and the knots are all popped out and cracked and a sticker lable got stuck on it and pulled the finish right off!  I phoned the company and explained to them what's up, they asked me to email over pictures, I did.  Did not hear a thing back from them for 2 days;phoned twice more, finally got an email back...not a phone call an EMAIL! And basically said here is a number of a furniture repair guy, fix it your self.  I phoned back, the guy was busy and I left a message saying I would like him to PHONE me...nope, he emailed me again said too bad.  So I phoned him and he said I should not have had a sticker near the table, too bad I ruined it, should have bought a more expensive tabel!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  A) the table was NOT cheap, I got it on sale for a better price but by no means was is pennies! B) That is NOT the point, it is CRAP QUALITY! ARG!!!!! I AM SOOO ANGRY and I'm still stuck with the table so all I can do is VENT and spit on their name by letting everyone know how crap they are to deal with...they have MY money, so now they just don't care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  So pass this along to all you know who are buying furniture, do not buy from BEACHCOMBER......the do not  care about their customers...quick sale then bugger off with you!!!  If I ran my business like that, pretty sure I would not have my amazing loyal customers who keep returning, and refering me!! So to all of you THANK YOU!
OK RANT DONE!
Hope you have a better day then me!

Arr: Twistedsketch

Hi Everyone

Ok, I here is the LO I did for the Twistedsketch, sketch #38 challenge. This is with Ethan’s Halloween pics; I’ve already digitally scrapped these, but thought I’d do a traditional page too. I’m caught up with my pics so if I want to scrap, I’m re-doing pics! For all of you who are far beyond catching up, I highly recommend My Digital Studio...and NO it is not cheating! I’ve heard that from SO many people, and to tell the truth I thought that before I tried it as well! It can be just as challenging as traditional scrappin’, or you can use the template SU! provides to speed it along, or you can combine the two; design your own page but use SU! picture LO.
OK back to the page
Supplies

Paper:   from Cool Kids Simply Scrappin’ kit, Basic Black

Ink: Basic Grey, Craft Black

Embellishments: Jumbo eyelets, Sticky Cut Sheets, Big Shot with Sheriff Alpha (to cut ARR), Curves ahead sizzlit (arrow pointing at ‘x’)Fine Cosmo Glitter, Black Satin Ribbon(mini); unknown rhinestones, Clear Embossing powder with Heat Tool, distress tool

Stamps: Beware Pirates, unknown skull

I also altered Ethan’s picture at Picnik.

We Believe

Hi Everyone
I’ve got some posting to catch up on, I know I said I’d post the page I made for Twistedsketches on Saturday, but I never got around to it. I will! Tomorrow, promise! But for today’s post, I wanted to post my Olympic page. I waited till after the closing ceremonies to finish it up. Like all other Canadians...and American’s, I was glued to my TV watching the Hockey Finals with my family...WOW, what a game!!!!!! What a GOLD!!!! WAHOO! I am so proud of all the Canadian Athletes right now! Not only did we win the most Gold medals for a Hosting team, but we won most Gold Medals EVER! Seriously, that is so cool! I am proud to be a Canadian!!! As the theme for the Olympic here in Canada was “I Believe”, my LO was inspired by that, except I changed it to “WE believe”. I loved this Olympics; it has been my favourite to date for sure. One reason is because it just really brought everyone together, the whole country was in Olympic mood, and so patriotic! This has been the first Olympics my boys have been old enough to watch, and I loved that they watched them with me every day! The men’s hockey finals were just AMAZING to watch, I had my whole family over both games and it was great!
OK...onto the LO! I took inspiration from a sketch found HERE on Valerie Salmons blog
Paper: Bride DSP (inked red with brayer), Sending Love DSP, Night and Day (retired, but still on MDS), Gold, Basic Black, Real Red, Silver C/S, Bronze (retired).
Accessories: #2 Circle Die, Fire Rhinestone, Organza Ribbon (inked with Pacific Blue, retired), letter Thickers
You can't see on the picture the layer of the medals, the gold is popped up extra with excess rubber that comes around the stamps, the silver is with dimensionals, and the bronze is flat.

Thanks for stopping by...show your love for Canada and leave a Canada Shout out here!

Cool Kids Card

Hi Everyone

I found this awesome challenge blog yesterday run by the wickedly talented Anam. If you regularly check my blog, you'll notice I love Anam's style and use her LO for inspiration often, while I was on her blog I notice a link to Twistedsketch, so I went and check it out; fun site! I love challenge blogs, totally pushes you to scrap out side your comfy box. This Blog puts out a LO with a twist each week; this weeks twist is to add stripes.
So anyways...she has a Design Team call for Twistedcards, so I thought I'd make a card for it. There is a LO & the twist is transparent. On my card I added some clear Taylor Tots around my Superstar.
Recipe
All paper and embellishments are from the Cool Kids Simply Scrappin' Kit (except tot's)

Stamps:Extreme Guitar ( U can get this free with SAB!), Extreme Element (my fav!!)

Ink: Basic Grey, Crushed Curry (to distress)

The scrappin' kit makes it totally easy to design things as everything is in it and matches! The size of my card is 5 1/2" square
Thanks for stopping by, check back tomorrow, I've done a cool LO to the Twistedsketch site as well.

My Knight in shining armour

Hi Everyone

Well after I did the My Digital Studio Page Saturday morning, I decided to clean all the scrappin' supplies that are all over my house and put them all in my office. That is when I came across this piece of paper I bought years ago, and laughed as I knew the perfect pics to go on them! So I've now got 2 cute pages of .Tristan from Halloween, and he was very happy I did 2 of him and none of Ethan! BOYS! Not much SU! supplies, the Black Satin Ribbon, and Ice Rhinestone Squars, plus the White Singlo pen. I rouched the ribbon by sewing a simple stitch through the middle and hand pulling it to how I wanted it. The fleur de lei is from the fabric store, it's an iron on bling, I knew it would come in handy!

My Digital Studio: Imports

Hi Everyone

As you can see I`ve been playing around with my Blogs, and changed the templates. Make sure you get check out my Inkedstamper`s News Blog as well, I love the template! I found this great FREE site called the Background Fairy, you can click on her link on the top left corner of my blogs. She has tons of vintage digital designs you can download for free! So not only did I download new blog templates, I also downloaded a bunch of images and papers into My Digital Studio (MDS). First off I modified both of my Blog Headers in MDS, than I decided to do a scrapbook page in there as well. And this is what I came up with. All image downloads are from the Background Fairy, then I just added my fav stamps to it from Extreme Elements. I really love MDS and this just added to my love, it was so easy to open the files in here, and with the awesome feature of color adjusting, I was able to match the colors exactly to the new downloads! I also really like the opacity feature, I change the picture of Tristan by himself to a low opacity so he is kind of see through ghost like, how cool is that! Sure can`t do that in traditional scrappin`!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fab weekend

Love Bug & Cards for the Cure

Hi Everyone

I've posted this on my newsletter blog, but not really here. This August I will be participating in the 35km walk for the Weekend to End Women's Cancer. And right now I'm busy working on making all the cards to put in my Card for Cure Bundles. In these bundles there will be 6 cards with envelopes that you can purchase for $35 and $25 will be donated to Weekend to End Women's Cancers. You will also receive a $25 tax deductible receipt. I will be fundraising from now until August to raise money for Cancer Research. I will be blogging more later about this, once I have some samples ready. BUT please go over to my Inkedstampers Newsletter Blog HERE to see some of the Fundraising options I have there including Crop for the Cure kits; ( Feb's scrap kit shown above) and classes. You can also click HERE to donate directly on my website, your tax receipt will be emailed to you for all donations over $10. If you would like to donate via purchasing a kit, please contact me directly.

Here is a LO I did the other night with the Scrapalicious Girls; a kick butt group of scrapbooking women! We meet at Natalie's house and had to swap Kits; everyone put together a kit to make 1 LO, we drew names and swapped our kits. This is the LO I came up with from my kit from Annette. I laughed when she handed it to me cause she said "sorry Dawn it's all pink!", too funny. Yes I have two boys, so pink and me don't really meet up to much in scrappin', so it was fun to get to play with it. I so love the vintage Valentine, how cute is that?!??!None of the products are SU!, I don't know what they are, I did use SU! tools for it; Singlo White pen to make the faux stitches (with the Matt pack) and to trace the hearts on the pink paper; the Color Spritzer with Pretty in Pink Marker, Melon Mambo Ink, Chocolate Chip Marker with Matt Pack to make polka dots on the letters, and Linen Thread for the buttons.
I didn't know what picture I was going to put on it, I thought I would just take one of one of my girl cats, but then I remembered this one I took a few weeks ago of my Ethan snuggling the William's girls, Zoe and baby Pia. I played with it in Picnik a bit and just love how it looks on this LO, boys can so ROCK PINK!

Vintage Forest Friends Book Mark

Hi Everyone
Here is a cute Bookmark I whipped up today while watching 5 kids! YES, I said 5! My twins, plus another set of twins who are 2 and unbelievably CUTE and another 5 year old! I'm babysitting my friends gorgeous kiddo's cause she is packing up and moving to Manitoba. So I thought I would make her this cute bookmark to include with her going away present which is the first 3 books from the A House of Night Novels. If you haven't read these books, go out and get em'! They are fantastic! I'm really enjoying them.
Anyways you can go HERE to my other post for the directions on how to do the vintage back ground look. For this one I also used the stamp sets Forest Friends and Tiny Tags. If you click on the picture to make it bigger, you'll also see I tied the Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon together with Linen Thread and used the cute new Tiny Tag punch to make a wee little friend tag.
Thanks for stopping by, Happy Valentines Day

Vintage Style layout ala Shelli

Hi Everyone
See I have been working..honest! Here is a Layout I did 100% inspired by one Shelli showed us on stage at Leadership. I think hers was an 8x8 size, so I just changed it up to be a 12x12.
What I did was take 8.5x11 Very Vanilla card stock, stamped French Filigree Background stamp with Versa Mark and Clear Embossed it. Then I wheeled Very Vintage wheel(mini) in Chocolate Chip randomly over the whole page; twisting, skipping and crossing all over; wiped with a tissue over clear embossed image. Then I took a Dauber & Pretty in Pink ink and swirled all around where the clear embossed French Filigree image is. The flowers where punched out of Pretty in Pink, Very vanilla & Sahara sand c/s that was rolled with Very Vintage wheel first; I used the new Extra Large Fancy Flower(mini), 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches and embellished with Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brads, Kraft Corduroy button, Sweet pea Felts(mini) and Button Latte. Then I threaded a needle with Linen Thread and ran it through the center of a piece of Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon(mini) and puckered it. The DSP is Sending Love Specialty; flower strip plus behind the photo. Then I just mounted everything on Very Vanilla textured 12x12 that I stamped off with Itty Bitty Background and Close to Cocoa ink. I added a picture from Founders Circle this year that is of Lynsay (my up-line), Me, Shelli( CEO of SU!) and her daughter Sara. It still needs a title, I'll do it later as this is going to my Monthly Stamp Clubs page this month, I can't really put Founders Circle on it!
What cha' think???????
