More Scrapbooking with Fabric

Please Do not forget to Sign up for my Scrapping with Cancer Fundraiser Crop! Please Click HERE for details, to register or to just DONATE to the cause.
Hi Everyone
Yesterday I had a retail therapy day with my sister and then went scrapbooking with my friends, so no posts! SORRY!  But today I have a layout for you that I did last night, which is a miracle as I really don't scrap well in groups!  My mouth moves faster than my hands, LOL! I just chat away all night while the others crank out 4-5 layout to my one!  I really like how it turned out, just needs to have some REAL stitches on it.  SO my friend Kari offered to show me how to use a sewing machine! That's right, I'm going to go buy a machine soon and get some lessons from her!
I really like the Lollipop flower I HAND STITCHED on it..NOT glue gunned! LOL! And YES I totally poked my own finger! I even stitched the button on with Linen Thread...are you proud of me??  This is soo easy to do..clearly if I managed it!  The directions are actually in my March's Club Planner.  Stay Tuned for it to be posted I hope this week.  I'm working on a surprise with it at the moment!!  Make sure you scroll down to yesturday's post for the tutorial on the Straw Flower with Fabric brad (left flower on the LO).
Anyhoo the LO was made with 12x12 Wild Wasabi C/S,Choc Chip, So Saffron & Tempting Turquoise 8.5'11" C/S,  Sweet Stitches DSP 121781, Sweet Stitches Fabric 121818, Sweet Stitches Buttons 123302, Melon Mambo Pompom Trim 123322, Fabric Designer Brads, 121880, Linen Thread 104199, Designer Buttons Subtles 119754 and Neutrals 119743. Straw Flower Tutorial

Hi Everyone
Sorry I'm posting late today; this is the first Monday of the Month and my Scrapbook Club planner is due out to my SU! Demo Customers. So I've been busy with that all day. This is actually part of the Planner;  I wanted to give you Demo's a taste of my Scrapbook Club Planners. This months planner actually includes 2 fabric flower techniques in it. Just a heads up; you DO NOT have to be a Demo to purchase my planners, these are perfect for anyone! It is a 12x12 Scrapbook page with matching card planner with full step by step pictures and descriptions on how to recreate.
So here is my Straw fabric flower technique: this was shown on main stage at Leadership this year.

1. Cut a small snip in your fabric at 1/2", tear up to make a strip.  Cut into 3, 6" strips of fabric.  I'm using the new Sweet Stitches Fabric 121818. Layer your fabric like picture: make an 'X" and layer last one through center.

 2. Fold each end up to the center; this is the BACK of your flower.
 3. Make sure you are happy with the placement of your petals.
4. Use your Crop a Dile on the 1/8" punch setting, and punch a hole in the center of the flower making sure, all ends are pierced.  Insert brad of choice; this one is Sweet Stitches Fabric Brad.  For my card, I used a tiny brad and glue dotted a button on top.

Thanks for stopping by.  Tomorrow I will post the link for March's Club Planner with a sneak peek.

Sweet Stitches Fabric Flower...made with NO stitches!

Hi Everyone
Well here is my second fabric project from my DL Meeting.  Again, here is another fabric flower made with my trusty hot glue gun! I am just that lazy! LOL!  As with yesterdays flower, this one is a great embellishment to add to ANY crafting project.  I wanted to show my ladies how great fabric is on a traditional cards as well as nontraditional SU! projects.
Supplies
Sweet Stitches DSP 121818, Sweet Stitches Buttons 122302, Button, Button Stamp set 122040(clear), Sew Suite Stamp Set 122009 (clear), Daffodil Delight C/S 119683 and Ink 119667, Chocolate Chip Ink 100908, Choc C/S 102108, Linen thread 104199.
I will try to do a picture tutorial on this flower this week end, but I need my husband to take pictures of my hands while I put it together..and as we are hockey parents, are week-ends are pretty full.

What can you do with fabric if you don't sew?

HI Everyone
As promise, I'm posting pics today of the projects we made at my downline meeting this month.  All my ladies who attended are new to my group so I want to make sure I showed them something different that they can do with SU! rather than the standard card or scrapbooking.  So I decided to show them our fantastic fabric!  We made this so cute, and so practical Book Mark!  Again, my photography skill let me down, and I just can not figure out how to take a good picture of this project..trust me, the picture does it NO justice!
Supplies
We used the awesome Fun Flowers Bigz L Die 121812, Deck the Halls 121716 (winter mini but still available to order) Deck the Halls button (retired, opps, but you could sub Brights/Regals Buttons), Cherry Cobbler C/S and Ink, First Edition DSP 121878, Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim 118481, Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink Illuminated Top Coat 121084 and a Bone Folder 102300.
Directions
All I did was starched the fabric flowers with spray starch, when they were 80% dry I scrunched them up. Ink the paper flowers with Cherry Cobbler, scrunch. For the Cherry C/S flower, curl edges with your bone folder back and forth to break down the fibers till it splits into 2 layers. Un-crumple all flowers and just layer with hot glue. Smooth the paper flowers to make them have a wee bit of glitter bling. Glue onto Ribbon is about 18" long, and glue button on bottom of ribbon to add as a weight for the bookmark.

Faux Epoxy Technique and Sale A Bration! WAHOO!

Sale a Bration begins TODAY! FREE item with EVERY $60 purchase! Download the brochure and book your Party or place your order today!
Hi Everyone
Today's card was inspired by Mary Fish's card she did for Mojo Monday last week.  Mojo Monday is a great place for card layouts, and Mary's samples are great.  I really liked the color choices she picked, so I chose a similar one.  The supplies I used for this card are all available in the NEW Occasions Mini: The Create a Cupcake Stamp set (121982 clear) and the matching Build a Cupcake Punch (12187).  How cute are these?? I LOVE them!!  I also used the awesome new Glitter Paper (121790) to punch out that adorable cherry and the mini hearts.  The cherry is punched from the Cupcake Punch! Seriously, that punch ROCKS!
My technique on my cupcake is so cute in real life; but my lack of photography skills does it no justice at all. I call this Faux Epoxy: I'm sure this technique has been done before, and called something different, but here is my version.
Faux Epoxy Technique
  •  Punch out 4 cupcake tops in Chocolate Chip C/S(if you use Whisper White you'll need more layers, 6-7)
  • Snail all layers together
  • Covered the top with a  layer with Crystal Effects: go slowly and cover completely
  •  Sprinkle on some Champagne  Glass Glitter (120997) and  lay on a  punched out cherry on top.  Set it aside to dry and add it to your card
PS How do you like my NEW BLOG?  Please leave a comment; these are what inspire me to post for YOU every day!

More Non-Traditional SU!

Last Day for the FREE $375Value Demo Kit! Click Here for Details.
Please register for Martini Monday's, everyone needs a girls night out!
Hi Everyone
Well keeping with yesterdays theme, I have some more "non-traditional" SU! to show your from the Leadership Conference.   The top projects: the first one is a clear stamp box all decorated up! This would look great for a gift with a DVD inside that you made using MDS and mailed to a relative far away!  Or why not put some 3x3 Note Cards with Envelops in it, or  Hand Stamped Stationary set? This would make a wonderful gift.  The next one is a broach made with SU! exclusive Fabric Springtime Vintage 121817 and the Big L Flower Die Fun Flowers 121812.  Then it is embellished with Trinket Keys 121892, Beveled Windowpanes 121881and the new stamp set Clearly for You 121976.  All the materials are available in the New Occasions Mini.  How cute is this?
The last one is another Adorned Charm, but this is has the matching Adorned Necklace with it.  This is the M sized charm.  Again, these are lockets and it only takes minutes to make a new insert for them to match your out fit.  This charm was made for me by my upline, Lynsay as a gift. and is made from the new Nature Walk Collection; Botanical Gazzette DSP 121783 and Nature Walk Stamp Set 121997.  This is my FAVORITE collection from the mini!!!
