Do Over!

Hi Everyone
Here is my Do Over page from earlier this week; you can view the original HERE.  All the squares are glittered paper and are popped up off the page.  If you click on the picture it will enlarge them so you can see all the details I added; sweet journaling, tags, their names written around the hearts, ink highlighting and a better title.  I still made sure the focus was all on the photos, but I just jazzed it up a bit.  Those pictures are just so amazing of my boys that they deserved a better layout to go with them.
Have a fab week end and thanks for stopping by,

It's hip to be square

Hi Everyone
Here is the double layout I made the other night with the Scrapalicious girls..shout out to Kari for the square chip board! Sweet idea, THANKS!  In real life, this layout looks awesome..something is lost in the picture of it..not sure if it's the color or the dimension? There is lots of depth on this page with the chipboard arrow, glitter brads, popped up squares and tag.  It looks so flat in the picture, which does it NO justice.
The journalling reads:
You two are DORKS! You are ORIGINALS, you march to the beat of your own drum, and you OWN "it's hip to be square"! This makes you two so COOL to me!
Like all of you Momma's out there..I really love my kids..dork and all! ;)
FYI: I've finished re-vamping my double layout from earlier this week, I'll post it tomorrow. I LOVE how it turned out! See you tomorrow

Create a Cupcake Sweet Case

Hi Everyone
Had a late night scrapping with the Scrapalicious Gals...made another double layout, but it needs some tweaking before posting.  I want to tweak yesterdays double LO as well...I like it, but it NEEDS something..so I'll try to tweak it as well.
Today's project is one of the cards from my Martini Monday Class (first Monday of every month); this months class was based around Cupcakes and Glitter Brads.  Every Class you go home with 6 cards/envelopes and a product! So this class the ladies went home with a package of Bright Glimmer Brads.  This card was CASED from Mary Brown on SU! Stampin' Connection; a Demo only web site.  The size is 3 1/4" x 6 1/2"; so just cut a 6 1/2" square and score at 3 1/4".  It will fit in the SU! Open End Envelope.
FYI Next Class will be base on Coffee Cards! Sign up Today, this is a crazy fun class and YES it does include a yummy MARTINI! Stampin' and Martini's! Can you think of a better way to start off the month??

Sweet Double Layout

Hi Everyone
So here is another one of my layouts from Saturday Fundraiser Crop.  I took these gorgeous pics of my boys in the fall and they turned out so great that I blew them up to 6x8"; I wanted them to be the 100% focus on the page.  I know as scrapbookers we get so caught up in the artistry and the originality of our pages; but we have to remember it is ALWAYS about the photo!  I still need to journal on them..and I must admit I'm not crazy happy with that generic title, BUT my brown thicker collection was limited in letters so the first 3 title I picked out, I didn't have enough letters! ARG! I was going to add another title over top and some lyrics, but when I told that to a friend, she said leave it...it will take the focus off the boys, so I'm going to take her advise as that is the reason why I enlarged the photos!

An awesome title can make the page

Hi Everyone
I had a great week end; my friends Kari and Annette came over to crop at my Fundraiser crop and we had a blast.  I actually got 4 layouts done..which is a ton for me when people are around! LOL! Anyhoo, this was my first one, and I need to thank the girls for it! I wanted something fun to go with this page cause the pictures are of me and Pia (my awesome friend Alana's daughter) goofing around with the photobooth on my Mac; and that cute toast and toaster paper boarder just screamed FUN...so I asked the girls for help and Annette suggested something to do with sandwiches, and BOOM this popped in my head!  "We go together like PB & J".  How fun is that! You can't notice it in the picture but I actually covered the little toasts with glassy glaze to make it pop up to match the hearts on the paper that are glossy and puffy..it's looks so cute!
Have an AWESOME Monday

My Hockey Boys and the Reason WHY I Scrapbook

Hi Everyone
I went scrapbooking to my friends yesterday, and had a great time. Of course my mouth was faster then my hands so I only got one layout done! That is typical ME! So easily distracted! But I must say, I'm very happy with how it turned out; I based it off one of the sketches on Sketches 2 Scrapbook Aps on my iPhone.  I love to stamp on Glossy Card Stock: the White Skull tag was made with the corner rounder and Glossy Card Stock stamped with Basic Black; it is just SO vibrant!
Some Momma Pride:
This year was the twins FIRST hockey season.  Their first practice was their FIRST time on skates! LOL! Talk about throwing them in the deep end!  But I could NOT be ANY prouder of my boys! They fell at least 100 times, but they SMILED the whole time and got up 101! Not once did they give up, get frustrated.  At the end of that first practice while we were taking their kit off, Tristan said to me " Mom, we kinda sucked at first, but now we are AWESOME!" LOL! I totally had a tear in my eye! You can teach someone to skate..play hockey.. but you CAN NOT teach HEART!
My Journaling on my Page
"You can't teach heart, you either have it or your don't.  You two have it in TRUMPS! Reach for the Starts my boys!"

I just wanted to point out, THIS is exactly WHY I scrapbook; I don't want to forget all these feelings,  and I want my boys to be able to read and see their childhood and to remember what is forgotten over time.

Pop Can Accessories

Hi Everyone
While I was blog hopping on the week end I came across this great idea on Dawn Griffith's blog to make  a pin out of a pop can! SO easy to do..and you can use any Die you want! I choose to use the same on as she did cause I thought they were just cute and a great size; I just curled my edges up with my bone folder before I attached the 3 layers together.    My Club Girls made these as well and actually attached them to the top of their book marks.  I thought they would make a great gift; a book mark and a pretty pin!
A little note: the cans are sharp when you cut them; BUT are NOT sharp once they run through the Big Shot Dies! You could make ANY accessory you wanted and add it to any project!  We don't drink a lot of pop in our house, so I only had enough empty cans to cover my Club Girls projects and 1 for me... as soon as I get some more cans I'm going to try some other dies out.  I think a tin butterfly would look pretty darn cute!

One good friend is worth a thousand relatives

Hi Everyone
Don't you just love the expression I used for my title today? It's from the stamp set Kimono Kids 120498, and I just LOVE it!  Same as the stamp set, how cute are these little kimono girls? Well yesterday was my Club day, and this was one of the projects the technique club made..actually its half of it.  The other half I'll post tomorrow.  As you can tell, I am on a CORK kick at the moment! I LOVE this stuff, and everything I've been making the last few weeks has cork on it.  The stuff is seriously cool to work with..it cuts with scissors NO problem, run through the big shot like a DREAM, and you can stamp and color it as easy as paper! How fun is that! I used Black Craft Ink and Black Embossing Powder to make these cute book marks, then I just used out Stampin' Markers to color them in.  By Embossing them first, it makes it easier to color as it give you a little bit of a lip to stay in the lines easier!  They are 3" x6", and you would be able to make 4/cork sheet! The Cork sheets (119819) come in a package of 6 for only $12.95...that is a ton of cork to make projects with!
I'd LOVE to see your cork creations! Add a link to your in the comment section and everyone can come take a peak!
PS I love making practical gifts! Who doesn't need a bookmark?? Great idea to add to your card for your friends next birthday! If you'd like to make one of these with YOUR friends, BOOK a private Inked Stamper Party Today!  Don't leave near St.Albert, but still in Canada? No problem, contact me today to order the supplies for this Class, and I'll send you a Video How To for you to run for your friends while you craft!

Vintage feel Frame Collage

Hi Everyone
Well yesterday was my Thursday day time Club, Scrap n Chat, so I didn't have time to post. I'll post on Saturday to make up for it!
I made this frame collage on Wednesday and it's going to hang up in my hall way.  All supplies used are SU!, except the frames which are from Ikea.  If you click on the picture it will make it larger so you can see all the details in each frame.  The pattern paper is Newsprint 117166, the stamp sets used are Notably Ornate 120561, Artistic Etching 129573, and French Filigree background stamp 113742.  I used Cherry Cobble Craft Ink, Basic Black and Log Cabin Smootch, Sticky back Rhinestone Jewels and Chantilly Crochet ribbon. I used the Big Shot with Serif Alpha Dies for the letters, and Scallop square for the E; card stocks used were Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler.

Fun with Cork and Fun Flowers Die

HI Everyone
Well here is my last layout that I made scrapping the other day with my Sis and Shannon.  This is my sister gorgeous son Brayden; and this is my last of my Lake layouts I had to do.  The WHOLE family went camping together last year, and I took my camera and got great shots off all the cousins and did a Digital Scrapbook for my family for Christmas this year and I also did traditional layouts for me.  Bray was my last one I had to do.  And I LOVE how it turned out, nice and simple, but oh so cute! Again, I used the cork sheet on this LO, I cut them with the Big shot and the awesome new Fun Flowers L Die from the Mini...which I LOVE!  I almost did not buy it, I AM so glad I did, it's my "go to" embellishment maker! I've made paper flowers, fabric flowers and now cork flowers with it.  This die ROCKS! I also used the new Fabric Brads and Sticky back Rhinestone Jewels to decorated my flowers and my XL Trim Die Scallop. The background square DSP is from Play Date.
Today's LO was made with Twisted Sketches #87 sketch and the twist was comfort.  I think my raccoons on my DSP cover the comfort twist, they are just chilled and relaxin' floating in the water.

Play Date Fun and Easy Layout

Hi Everyone
Today's LO is 100% SU!  For my supplies I used the Play Date Collection, DSP 117168, Die Cut Accent Kit 117172.  Then I sewed..yes sewed not glued, LOL, a flower from Early Espresso 1 1/4" Striped Ribbon 119961 and added a Jumbo Brad 112533.  The kits make it SO quick and simple to whip a LO up, this one took about 10 min to make!  This Accent Kit come with TONS of die cut heavy weight stickers ( like a thin chipboard!) ; including the alphabet with all the months!  This is a GREAT kit for school age kids! You could make an album just with the DSP, Kit plus some card stock and a few extra embellishments!  Let me know if you need a hand putting an order together for this!  What a great way to get an album done quickly, and cost efficiently as well!

Here is what you would need to make your FAB Album! What a GREAT gift for you to give to you CHILD to scrapbook themselves! Or of course keep it for yourself!!

My love Bots

Hi Everyone
Well this is my first post with my new Mac! I'm still getting used to it...it's very different from my PC.
So today's LO is actually from the same sketch I did for my Club Planner this month from Sketchy Thursday.  This sketch is for March's Guest  DT call, and I'd love to be on their DT even if just for a month.   I had a lot of fun with this LO; I used some non SU! mixed with SU! and loved the way it turned out. My title is My LOVE Bots so I thought Valentines Day was the perfect day to post this!
I FINALLY used out Cork Sheets! I kept forgetting about them, so I brought them with me to sister's where I scrapped on Friday, and USED them! I love them as the pennant...so EASY to cut! The new Glitter Paper works so perfect to punch out hearts, I LOVE that stuff.  My 2 squares of DSP are from the SU! Playdate set.  You should be able to click on the LO to make it larger to see all the little details on this page...I even journaled!  The rules on Sketchy Thursday DT call for this LO was to us the color combo Red/Turquoise, use Hearts, and to List what you love about the person on the Layout. So my heart covers my RED and my HEART!
Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by, I'd love it if you left your mark here and left me a comment! They make my day!  I've got 2 other LO's I made on Friday, I ACTUALLY scrapped with people around! LOL! 3 LO's is a record for me at a crop!
Happy Valentines Day
