Some Glitz Retro Fun

Hi All
I've been posting a lot of Christmas Samples lately, so I thought it would be fun to shake it up a bit with a Retro Layout.  I made this yesterday with the awesome new Glitz Line "Cashmere Dame". I LOVE this line! It's east work with, this layout practically put itself together!  The record and the TV frame and transparencies, they call them Peek a boo's! How fun is that...what I liked is that they were not 100% see through so the pop dots behind them we're not visible, I hated that about the old transparent embellishments, they were impossible to adhere.
I used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and Red, Green, White and Black GLAZE pens to highlight everything. MAN those PENS ROCK! They dry like enamel and add such a fabulous POP to your page!  All the cherries and white polka dots are raised with these pens, they look fabulous!!! For such a small effort, it's well worth it!  I finished it off my white highlighting the pin up girl with a Gelly Roll pen and Glossy Accenting her swim suit.  (should of taken a close up of that, sorry)
I have the whole line in stock at the shop....the chevron patters would be great on Christmas projects as well.  The Red is bright and cherry!!!
Click HERE to view the whole Glitz Cashmere Dame Line and pop by the shop to buy it and check the layout out in person..always looks better then the photo.

Christmas Countdown with Melissa Francis

 Hi All
I had a lot of fun playing with Melissa Francis's  Countdown to Christmas! I used the paper, Chipboard and Die Cuts from this line. They are SO cute, mega retro and just fabulous. I added some Fabscraps Chipboard pieces that I spritzed with Tinsel and Bronze Heidi Swapp Color Shine...LOVE this stuff! There are lots of little details all over the whole layout; Crackle  and Glossy Accents, Black and White Enamel, Washi Tape,  Tim Holtz Inks, Dies with Grunge Board and Metal Embellishments. And all that awesome snow was done with a SNOW PEN! Totally adds to the layout! Puffs right up with a heat tool. I also love the frame around Tristan's picture cut from Gold Metallic paper and a Spellbinder die.

Hi Everyone
Well I don't just always do messy things, I can do cute too!  I LOVE how this tag turned out and it was so simple with Tim Holtz Distress Markers. I'm a self confessed bad colorer and I totally think I pulled it off with these markers!  I love it so much, I'm thinking of putting a Tag Class together with the Markers and House Mouse Stamps.  Are they not the CUTEST??

Be Yourself..another Journal Page

Hi Everyone
Here's another journal page from my Dylusions Journal. This one is still a work in progress...there are a few details I'm going to add when I get around to it, but for now I think it's post worthy.  There is a lot of paints and sprays on these pages to make the colors of this background. It started off with Dylusions Bubble Gum Pink and Black Marble Sprays; then I added some Adirondack Raspberry Paint and Claudine Hellmuth black to the mix with my finger.  Then I added my favourite Crafter's Workshop Flame stencil with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Sweet Cherry... I LOVE how the mica in this awesome spray completed shined on top of the black paint!!
I used Tim Holtz, Dylusions and Lablanche Stamps on this page, and of course highlighted with Gelly Roll pens. I also used Ranger Enamel Accents on the pages as well; I added black eyes to the spiders and pup, plus the white swirls the the pup and skulls are in were made with the White Enamel I swirled on with my finger.
My favourite detail on the whole spread is the glasses! They are from the October Afternoon Midway Chipboard Bundle; I painted them with the Raspberry Paint and a Rhinestone.  I finished it off by finger painting with Thickers and running down some black india ink.

She who has the most minions....wins

Hi Everyone

Every chance I get lately, which doesn't feel like many, I play in my new Dylusions Art Journal. I do love this book, it's huge and the paper in it is awesome! This was my first play session in it; kinda wish I made the words bigger..but oh well! It's hard to pick up the textures and layers with the camera; the back ground is made with gesso, Claudine Hellmuth Teal Paint, Blank Canvas; the pattern is a Crafter's Workshop stencil with black paint, and the pink is Pan Pastel. The whole page has scrapings of Modeling Paste. Images are all Stampotique Stamps with Archival Jet Black ink and colored with Gelly Roll and Heidi Swapp pens.  The "minions" on the right are colored with Muti-Medi and Liquid Pearl mixture and on the right (camera did not pick up); Tattered Angels Glaze.
