Hi Everyone

Here's another journal page from my Dylusions Journal. This one is still a work in progress...there are a few details I'm going to add when I get around to it, but for now I think it's post worthy.  There is a lot of paints and sprays on these pages to make the colors of this background. It started off with Dylusions Bubble Gum Pink and Black Marble Sprays; then I added some Adirondack Raspberry Paint and Claudine Hellmuth black to the mix with my finger.  Then I added my favourite Crafter's Workshop Flame stencil with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Sweet Cherry... I LOVE how the mica in this awesome spray completed shined on top of the black paint!!

I used Tim Holtz, Dylusions and Lablanche Stamps on this page, and of course highlighted with Gelly Roll pens. I also used Ranger Enamel Accents on the pages as well; I added black eyes to the spiders and pup, plus the white swirls the the pup and skulls are in were made with the White Enamel I swirled on with my finger.  

My favourite detail on the whole spread is the glasses! They are from the October Afternoon Midway Chipboard Bundle; I painted them with the Raspberry Paint and a Rhinestone.  I finished it off by finger painting with Thickers and running down some black india ink.

Hi Everyone

Every chance I get lately, which doesn't feel like many, I play in my new Dylusions Art Journal. I do love this book, it's huge and the paper in it is awesome! This was my first play session in it; kinda wish I made the words bigger..but oh well! It's hard to pick up the textures and layers with the camera; the back ground is made with gesso, Claudine Hellmuth Teal Paint, Blank Canvas; the pattern is a Crafter's Workshop stencil with black paint, and the pink is Pan Pastel. The whole page has scrapings of Modeling Paste. Images are all Stampotique Stamps with Archival Jet Black ink and colored with Gelly Roll and Heidi Swapp pens.  The "minions" on the right are colored with Muti-Medi and Liquid Pearl mixture and on the right (camera did not pick up); Tattered Angels Glaze.

That's right, it's that time of year again! Christmas will be here before we know it, so it is time to register in those card classes! This class "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" is for 4 shimmery cards. All cards are full of Spellbinders gorgeous Dies and Heartfelt Creations beautiful stamps. The picture really does NOT do  them any justice. You'll be learning some  Glitter Ritz  techniques, Tim Holtz Water Coloring, and how to make a magnet closure.  Plus you will be going home with 3 Distress Markers to create more at home!

This class is a 100% OPEN to your own interpretation! What does that mean? I am here to teach you the basic techniques of Mixed Media; you will be layering sprays, using stencils, stamping, highlighting, ghostings.....and much more!  You will be making 4 cards, 2 red based, 2 green based; you will take home 2 of each color to make more cards with at your leisure.  You can make them as untraditional as you want with Dylusions funky Christmas expressions or make them more traditional by choosing a sweet greeting. Your call!  This class is a substitute for Mixed Media Introduction Class...meaning if you take this class, you will be able to jump in on the monthly Mixed Media Class! This is a bumper 101 class and a MUST for any mixed media lover or newby!

Due to personal reasons, the shop will be closed for the next little while. I am working on finding staff, but right now I need to be with my family. The shop will be open Saturdays still, and I will hopefully have some more staff sorted out to open up limited hours next week. Must be comfortable with computers, chatty with people,  crafty, and retail or customer service experience is a bonus. It's Halloween time!

Hi All

Do you have a favourite picture of your kids that you just can't resist scraping it over and over? Well this is one of mine. My little guys were only 2 in this picture and this is one of my favourite memories of them.

This is a "classic" Graphic 45 layout, lots of paper piecing, distressing with crackle and glossy accents. And of course for me, lots of doodling!!! G45 makes it so easy to do mutli layered layouts, (which normally are not my style) but with G45, it's kind of a MUST! My tip, ALWAYS buy pattern paper in 2's! Yup 2 each of the same sheet so you can cut and layer the same images on top of each other! Taking that extra time cutting, will make your layout FABULOUS! And you can't get anything cheaper than an extra piece of paper to cut up and make your embellishment out of!

Union Jack Love

Hi All

This is a layout of my husband on our 17th Anniversary date; and incase you didn't figure it out, he is from England! I know I was very subtile and you might not of guessed on your own! LOL!

Lots of doodling with Metallic Jelly Roll pens and Liquid Pearls, and Glossy Accents.  The awesome wing embellishment was made with Tim Holtz Stamp to Cut, the Eclips and matching stamp set Royal Script (one of my fav's), then finished it off with Alcohol Inks, Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp with Jump Ring, and a Prima Domino Charm.

Opps, how could I forget about that fabulous Chevron Washi tape, and Distress Ink is always a must on all my projects.

My little Hoo Hoo

Hi All!

OMG I am so in love with this stamp Little Hoo Hoo from Stampotique. He is so dang cute! I'm not the best colorer but I don't care! He makes me happy! He's surrounded by the fabulous Lawn Fawn Polaroid stamp that I am also in love with too.

Come and welcome Laurie at her first class at The Inked Stamper while she teaches you how to make this FABULOUS Steampunk Pumpkin....STEAMPUNKIN'!  Pop by to see them in the shop, they are STUNNING!  Each person will receive a Kit with all supplies to put together one of these "geartastic"punkins' and you will go home with the left overs. Each Kit contains the Alcohol inks, brush(for you to take home) and all supplies. All you need to bring is a bone folder or craft scrapper. Please choose your color at time of booking.

*FYI as somebody so rudely pointed out, The Gentleman Crafter has made an awesome "Jacked Up Jack-o-lantern" on Sept 26, over on his blog that I was 100% UNAWARE of. This one was designed by Laurie before that blog was up, I only got around to posting it on Sept 30.  And further more, there are loads of these different pumpkins floating around on blogs, ie Tim Holtz, this is not an original idea by The Gentleman Crafter either, and by no means were we trying to take credit for the idea. But THIS design was designed by Laurie, and she deserves credit for that.   Please feel free to go look at his, and Tim's pumpkins as they are  gorgeous as well.  For FUTURE reference, it is always polite to ask questions via email with a NAME instead of writing a snotty comment under anonymous! These blogs take a lot of work, if you don't like what you see, no one is forcing you to look.  If snotty comments continue than I will be forced to put up a comment monitor.
